5、ouldnt hire someone without AI skills.3The widespread adoption of GenAI raises concerns among educators,who remain apprehensive about the potential implications.4 Any doubts about the legitimacy of online credentials could place students at a significant disadvantage.However,an outright ban on GenAI
6、 tools isnt the solution.With nearly half of students using AI tools in 2023,5 we need innovations that uphold authentic learning experiencesand scale academic integrity within online learning.For millions of students entering the competitive job market,online career credentials serve as vital proof

17、eir urge to cheat.7 Additionally,AI changes how students cheat,not necessarily how often.8 Students may cheat under pressure,or when they believe cheating is justified.9 A culture of dishonesty worsens this,while clear expectations around academic integrity deter cheating.10 Increasing quiz question

37、strengthen their commitment to academic integrity,we share a clear reminder of the honor code and its consequences immediately before assignment submissions.Reminding students of the honor code at key moments has been shown to significantly reduce plagiarism,demonstrating its effectiveness in encour
38、aging ethical conduct.16 Motivate ethical conduct by highlighting violations and repercussions Gibberish submissionsnonsensical text like“dhfguisrd”or short replies like“.”,“13”,or“Answer”undermine the integrity of the peer review assignment,a valuable pedagogical tool that requires free-text submis
39、sions from learners to advance in the course.Gibberish submissions may occur when learners try to meet character counts or submit nearly empty responses.Our 2023 research revealed a concerning trend:Approximately 10%of text-based peer reviews on Coursera contained gibberish.To address this,we develo
40、ped a robust gibberish detection system.Using a large language model trained on human-labeled examples,we identify and flag such submissions with a high degree of accuracy.The metric Gibberish Submission Rate(GSR)calculates the percentage of submissions containing gibberish responses.By mitigating t

51、ments are particularly vulnerable to plagiarism,from basic copy-paste actions and using GenAI content to the more intricate theft of ideas.To mitigate this,we use a powerful plagiarism deterrence tool that has significantly reduced plagiarism rates.The tool uses a special measurement(called the Subm
